EDGEWATER, MD -- Pauline Andrews (Shepherd) Craver, a 62-year resident of Edgewater, MD passed away peacefully Easter Sunday April 8, 2012 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Charlotte Hall, MD. She was 93.             Pauline was born on October 10, 1918 in Lowell, MA. She graduated with Honors in 1940 as a Registered Nurse from Lowell General Hospital. In 1943, she volunteered for the Army services, became a 1st Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps and served in England, France, Germany and Japan (1943-1948).             Pauline worked as an RN for the MD State Health Department for 25+ years. She managed the South Shore Health Center (the love of her life) in Crownsville with her devoted staff until she retired in 1982. She also worked weekends at the Anne Arundel General Hospital Coronary Care Unit for 15+ years. Pauline went back to college and received her Bachelor Degree from the University of Maryland in 1962.             Her hobbies included the Washington Redskins and her beloved animals.             She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Susan Shepherd, brothers - Paul, Lawrence, Dwight and sisters - Geraldine and Madeline.             She is survived by two children - Linda Payne of Millersville, MD and Bruce Craver (wife Maria) of Hurlock, MD, three grandchildren - Danielle Brady (husband Dale), of Centreville, MD, Jason Sink of Aberdeen, MD and Morgan Craver of Hurlock, MD and three great-grandchildren - Brittany and Jacob Brady and Jillian Sink.             CRAVER -- Funeral service was held April 16th at the Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road, Gambrills, MD 21054. Interment was at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.             In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation, Dept 560, Washington, DC 20042 or Lowell General Hospital, 295 Varnum Ave, Lowell, MA 01854.
