Blauvelt, Raymond H., 97, passed away peacefully June 22, 2016 at his home in Lakeland FL. 

He was born October 18, 1918 in White Plains, NY. 

Raymond married Hazel Jenkins in August 1942. They shared a life together until she passed in March of 2005. 

He served during World War II as a Corporal in the MASH unit. He worked as a carpenter for Modern Home Construction in Greenwich CT, before relocating to Hudson FL in 1991. While living in FL, Raymond volunteered his time at the Bonati Institute for over 20 years. 

Raymond is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Mary Ann Blauvelt of Carmel, NY, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Ray Dellaero from Canton, GA, daughter Karen Lisko from Tampa, FL, grandson and granddaughter-in-law Paul and Amy Dellaero of Canton, GA, grandson and granddaughter-in-law Jason and Heather Dellaero of Buffalo, NY, and three great-grand-sons, Gavin, Brayden, and Kameron Dellaero. 

Ray was a long time resident at Atria Bay Point Village of Hudson FL. While living there he had an impact on many people’s lives with his story telling and love for music. He will be greatly missed by all. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 4-6pm immediately followed by a memorial service at 6pm, Monday June 27th, at the Prevatt Funeral Home, 7709 State Road 52, Hudson FL. 34667 (727) 863-3700. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice.
