Obituary Honor G. Kelley of Groveland, 83, retired nurse

Honor G. (Kelley) Kelley of Groveland, a retired nurse and veteran, died Sunday at Seaview Retreat Nursing Home in Rowley. She was 83.

Mrs. Kelley was born in Tewksbury and was a graduate of Lowell High School and St. John's Hospital School of Nursing, also in Lowell. She had lived in Groveland for the past 20 years and previously lived in Tewksbury.

She was a veteran of World War II, having served as a first lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps with service for two years in England during her four years in the military service.

Mrs. Kelley had been employed as a school nurse at St. William School in Tewksbury and as a public health nurse for the town of Tewksbury. She then worked as a private duty nurse until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Patrick Parish in Groveland and a member of the League of Catholic Women.

Mrs. Kelley is survived by her husband, Lawrence K. Jr. of Groveland; two daughters, Susan H. Winn of Rowley and Kathleen K. Baird of Lostine, Ore.; a son, Lawrence K. III of Groveland; a brother, Edward Kelley of Harrisburg, Pa.; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated yesterday at St. Patrick Church, South Groveland.

Burial was in Tewksbury Cemetery.
