BORGER - Elvie Kenneth "Jack" Ogle, 89, died Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St., with Don Travis officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery.

Jack was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Ryan, Okla., to the late Jim Ogle and Kate Brannom Ogle. He grew up around Ryan and Ardmore, Okla.

Mr. Ogle served three years in the U.S. Army as a medic. He worked four years on the thoroughbred racetrack.

Mr. Ogle moved to Canyon in 1953 and started milking cows for a dairy. He met Sybil Welch that year and they were married April 21, 1958.

They moved to Oklahoma in 1963 and began milking as a team for dairies. They retired in 1990 and moved to Burkburnett. In 2003, they moved to Borger.

Mr. Ogle was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ima Kirby of Terral, Okla., and Dora Whatley of Burkburnett; and three brothers, Clinton Ogle of Canyon, Bill Ogle of Chattanooga, Okla., and Elbert Ogle of Queensbury, N.Y.

Survivors include his wife, Sybil Ogle of Borger; her brothers, Doyle and Wayne Welch, both of Amarillo; and her sisters, Norma Caster of Amarillo and Juanita Beagle and husband Arnold of Borger.
